Since The Kitty With No Name killed my computer i've bought a new on. Unfortunately, i haven't had the time to try and get all my stuff off the old hard-drive so all my art is in limbo until i get to it. Also, at my job, they're short staffed so i was working a lot of crazy hours and then...BAM!...i got a summons for jury duty! But not the regular "one day or one trial" deal but the Grand Jury. That's 30 days! Crap!

okay, for those who don't know, Grand Juries are the folk who review the evidence of a crime and decide whether or not there's "probable cause" enough to indict or, in plainer english, formally charge someone with a crime and send to case to trial. My particular jury specifically handles Homicides and Crimes of Violence which is actually pretty interesting given the legal definitions for what constitutes a crime of violence. Right now, in my  last week there, we have about 60 cases open. We read a lot of witness transcripts and we even get to talk to witnesses. Some are scary some are pretty funny and some leave you shaking your head in disbelief at the stupidity of some people.

I'm due for a vacation soon so, as soon as i get done with vet visits for The Nameless One, i should be getting back to arty work.
